    • A larger administration building

  • Refit of the existing rendering plant

  • Upgrades to the existing wastewater system

  • Increasing the size of the existing carpark

APPROVAL PROCESS

Due to the investment value, the Project is classified as a State Significant Development (SSD). This means it will be assessed by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) and must follow a strict, structured approval process set by the state government.

AMG has completed the first stage of the SSD process through a Scoping Report which was submitted DPHI in mid-2025.

Since then, the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) have been issued, which outline the necessary detailed assessments required for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which is now underway.

The EIS will include specialist impact assessment reports, such as:

  • Air Quality and Odour

  • Noise

  • Social Impact

  • Visual and Landscape

  • Waste Management

  • Hazards and Risk

  • Heritage

  • Biodiversity

  • Biosecurity, Disease Management and Animal Welfare

  • Traffic and Transport

The EIS allows DPHI to fully assess the merits of the Project while AMG engage with the Cootamundra community to better understand issues, concerns or opportunities.
